Today started kinda "tense", but got better as the day went on. Darrell was experiencing "numbing" around his mouth, in his hands, feet, legs, arms, and stomach. They had said at the hospital if he felt any numbness to call the doctor for further instructions. They suggested that he wasn't getting enough calcium (he was supposed to be eating 9 Tums tablets a day and he had not done that). He added more Tums today and it seems to be better. I think this will be a "process" that will be ongoing for awhile til he learns how to take the medication.
Other than that, it was a pretty easy day. I stayed at home with Darrell today, but plan to go back to work on Friday. I might have to fill out a job application to get back into my office.
Rene Cole brought over lunch today (roast and all the goodies and one of her great pecan pies). We sure did enjoy it!
Tomorrow, Darrell goes back to Birmingham for a followup appointment and hopefully we'll get some more details on the next phase of this process--the radioactive iodine pill.
